I set Netvibes to single column (full screen), set the widget to full screen, but it still displays as a small map in the center of the box, with vast amounts of white space all aroyund. How do I get a larger map to display?

Did you try setting the height of the map to “full” in the URL or config (“Height of Map”)? This should be enough.

You can also play with the width setting in the config.

    The values all reappear in the config, but the dimensions have no effect. I use the widget in my Netvibes homepage (second tab), so giving you the url won't help, but here it is: http://www.netvibes.com/privatepage/1#Weather

    I have reloaded, cleared cache and tried both firefox and chrome. I actually have no extensions in chrome at all. I have also tried it on two other computers here. The result is consistently the same. Which is why I thought you could replicate it or at least have heard of this and had a fix for me.

    could it be that there is an extension blocking something?

    When you open the config again you see the values you had changed and configured? Also after reloading the page the config shows the values again?

    I do not understand why the settings do not apply in your case.

    Maybe you can copy and paste the URL you are using for the USWR in the widget?

    I have precisely those settings, though my 1.0.0 does not have a scrolling option. I have tried it in the latest firefox and the latest chrome. Size settings have no effect anywhere. Don't drive yourself crazy over this. It's only one extra click to get the fullscreen version. Thanks for trying. It's a great service.

    David,

    i just tested it. Works for me perfectly.

    I am using "Widget by Netvibes Version 1.0.0". Height is 500 and scrolling is auto.

    In the config of USWR i have set "full" for the height and "100%" for the width.

    How does that fit for you? please note that on the right side there might be some space for the ad. we pay for the data so need some money coming in. you can subscribe to remove the ad.

    The full page url works perfectly. It's really a Netvibes constraint that is the issue. I have no idea what your relationship to Netvibes is and whether there is a way your widget can force a bigger image in the space allotted. For example, adding new financial quotes automatically causes the box to lengthen. But setting parameters for the weather map has no effect. So to me, it is a Netvibes protocol at the heart of the problem.

    I have set the widget to full screen, even set the width to 200, then 400%. I have tried setting specific pixels - 1200 (my screen is 1920 x 1280). Nothing changes its size on Netvibes. I have logged in on two ther computers - no difference.
