sorry, works for me – just tested
can you try full reload with ctrl-(reload button) ?
Does it then work?
Can you try this URL http://weather-ng.com/us-weather-radar.html ? Maybe with reload?
Unfortunately, I set my width to something like 2 instead of 200. I can not, now, see my configuration screen because it is just 2 px wide! I have found the cookies but changing or deleting that, does not work, that I know of.3 votes
If you hit the key “d” 3 times when your mouse is over the USWR it should delete all prefs.
The main source of configuration is in the localStorage – you can find that as well in your browsers console. But the upper method should be easier.

Fahrenheit should be the default.
Celsius can be configured in the settings.
Can you show a screenshot of the issues and verify your config?
Add a transparency mode so you can see your location. With the current radar, sometimes it is hard to determine where you are under the storms, especially under big systems like hurricanes. If the storms were lightened some so you can see the cities it would be very helpful. Thank you.1 vote
There is a config option “Opacity of Radar Overlay” – does this help here?
Or please check the other config options as well.
control of the temperature box font size would allow me to read the current temperature from across the room. Changing this would be separate and not related to other items, like forecast, etc.3 votes
New option to scale the weather station was introduced in the configuration. Reload of US WR page needed.
When entering ZIP, have cursor already in box for entering ZIP. Also, how do you remember ZIP code?1 vote
Please store your ZIP code and other settings in the config section triggered by the link to the lower left.
In case you have issues saving the config please try Saving with Google.
Allow this overlay's position to be saved on exit. I don't like the default position and have to move it each time I refresh or open the page initially.
SAME for the 8day/48hour overlay.3 votes
the overlay to the upper left should be stored when you hit “update”
are your settings like ZIP code, … stored or is there an issue with storing the data?
in the settings of chrome you can configure to enable storing local data for specific websites like weather-ng.com in this case
The barcode on the page beside USWR ANDROID App is overlapping the text above. Just to help improve your page1 vote
Thank you very much for your comment!
It is not that clear which bar code.
Do you have a screenshot maybe to share?
Can you please let us know what you think is not correct? Screenshot or more info?
Thanks in advance!
Please check for“Celsius+Metric”
in the config section.
Thanks for the notice. Google stopped the weather layer … checking …
Now different cloud products from CIMSS have been integrated in USWR. Reload necessary.
If you are using it from Chrome Store feel free to give a good rating.
have a function to locate forest fires, dsevere drought aand/or brush fires i.e. california1 vote
Thanks! forrest fire is related to the weather but not directly expression of weather. we are reviewing how to handle this.
Fire overlay has been added. You can find it in the pulldown in the upper right (maybe reload needed)
I have my US Weather Radar app on Windows 8.1, using latest Chrome version. I have set it to zip code 23832, which is Chesterfield, Va.....but the app thinks it's Jacksonville, NC.1 vote
Did you try setting “Best weather station” in the config?
Be able to change the language of the screen reader. For instance I have the German language. I would like to change it to US English. It would be great if you can use the Config to do so.1 vote
changed to english
There is a bug with Chrome OS:
We fixed it in our code which shall be released in the next days.
More background in case the problem persists from one of our users:
Added Chrome OS English Female HQ extension and the issue is fixed.
The problem is focused around commondatastorage.googleapis.com
Loop is way too fast. On other services I use a 20 or 30 minute loop. Changed yours to one hour. that helps some but the loop still runs WAY too fast. PLEASE Slow it down or give us the option to control the loop speed.1 vote
We are looking into providing control of the looping speed.
Implemented. It might take some hours to appear for you until the new version is refreshed in your browser (you can force refresh by navigating to http://weatherng.com/us-weather-radar.html).
You can find a new option in the config.
Please feel free to give us a good rating at
a little clock on the edge of screen like NOAA has?1 vote
The age of the image is shown relative to the present time like -20min, …
Showing in local time would take more screen space.
Would it be interesting to have it anyway?
Can you send a screenshot?
Can you clear your cache and reload?
What is your browser and version?
Works normal for us.
I like your US Weather Radar gadget I am using on igHome. I would like to change the default radar map size. not to always have it refresh on my city, but rather have the entire region of the country as a possibilty.
Basically, save the last radar "region" as the default maybe as an option in the config page.1 vote
There are 2 options to store the map region (zoom).
You can configure the zoom in the config menu. Option is named “Zoom”.
Or you can hit “update” in the lower left menu to store the selected map view.
I love the weather site. Keep it up. Just wanted to say "Thank'You!"1 vote
Very much appreciated!!
If you have ideas how to improve just let us know.
Thank you very much!
