I agree that putting the functionality of the iGoogle US Weather Radar gadget on a web page of its own would work well. I'm not sure the developer would want to maintain that, but seems like a good way to draw traffic to the developer's own site. But, for folks looking to replace iGoogle and not just this weather gadget, the more popular iGoogle-like services allow pasting web code or adding widgets or gadgets developed for their sites. provide 2 hours of activity
If you could see your way to providing two hours of animation (say 8 cells) instead of three panels, we could tell which way the weather was moving and how fast. The current three panels make that impossible and they are often incomplete, so we have no idea which one is accurate, or first. A reflection of how much we use and appreciate this service.

You are suggesting to offer 8 animation steps over 2 hours. One aspect is that it means loading more data then with 3 animation steps which we wanted to keep low.
You would not have an issue with this addtl data load?
Regards the present step you can also look to the minute or time counter on the lower left which shows which step is currently displayed.
Maybe that helps as well?

Make it so the service works for my location every time I start the program instead of having to reenter my zip every time.
I paid for the subscription, but every time I start the program I still have to configure it for my zip code. As long as my browser is up, it works, but whenever I restart my computer, I have to restart the program, enter my license and zip. What is the point of buying in?

Build/allow the gadget on MyYahoo. MyYahoo is comparable to iGoogle (even though fewer gadgets available). I've been successful in getting a fair number of iGoogle RSS feeds/gadgets to MyYahoo and hope to use it in place of iGoogle.

temperature profile overlay
Allow this overlay's position to be saved on exit. I don't like the default position and have to move it each time I refresh or open the page initially.

Filter weather badge notifications by significant change
Rather than just choosing notifications every hour or no notifications, have a choice to only notify if there is a significant change to the weather - I don't need to be told the third hour in a row that it is clear and the temperature changed by a normal hourly amount, but if there is a sudden change in the weather that might matter.

It could be related to a change in percentage larger than a specified amount or a change of the summary from clear to rain?
Is that what you think of? Which parameters could be relevant? Should not be too many of course. Maybe also the change parameter could be read out.

Allow font size for temperature box
control of the temperature box font size would allow me to read the current temperature from across the room. Changing this would be separate and not related to other items, like forecast, etc.

Provide a RESET (to Defaults)
Unfortunately, I set my width to something like 2 instead of 200. I can not, now, see my configuration screen because it is just 2 px wide! I have found the cookies but changing or deleting that, does not work, that I know of.
3 votesIf you hit the key “d” 3 times when your mouse is over the USWR it should delete all prefs.
The main source of configuration is in the localStorage – you can find that as well in your browsers console. But the upper method should be easier.

My radar only goes through two frames; a very short time period. I would like the radar to give a longer time track for the weather.
I would like the radar to show a longer time track for, and course of, weather systems.

Make links work in the USWR "desktop" Chrome app
When I click links to other sites in the "desktop" version of the Chrome app, nothing happens. (ex. "weatherbug" link, "zoom" button in weather cameras, "add a camera" link, none work.)
